About Me
Debra West was born and raised in Alaska with a strong adventurous curiosity and confident self-determination to live life at its fullest. She discovered real estate investing at 19 years old when she bought her first three lots overlooking Eagle River, Alaska, and negotiated great terms. Deb created her own accounting company at the age of 23, serving small businesses specializing in fraud detention and continued to invest residential properties in the Anchorage area. Debra West was actively involved in ski racing, skydiving, partner dancing, scuba diving, fishing, 4X4 adventures plus becoming a pilot in her 30’s. She participated in reestablishing several skydiving World records, some of which still stand, and has flown her plane to all corners of North America and also to Grand Cayman. Expanded her investments to include airplane hangars in Denver and residential properties in Keystone, when her son moved to Boulder to attend college. She retired for several years dividing her time between Colorado and Alaska and discovered Dominical in 2005. Deb invested heavily on her first visit to Dominical eventually suggesting that she needs to move to Costa Rica to keep an eye on things. She decided to be more active in the real estate community so she established the most southern RE/MAX franchise in Costa Rica, the forth one in the country (now there are 22). As a real estate investor involved in more than fifty personal transactions. She has two sons, two grandsons and one granddaughter.
